Applewood Kia Community Involvement

Applewood is a proud supporter of the environment. As part of our green initiative, we have made a generous donation to TreeCanada to plant over 6250 trees in devastated areas of Kamloops, BC.  TreeCanada, together with the assistance of Applewood, is helping to restore 75 hectares of land. Lasting benefits to the community include wildlife habitat restoration for a number of species, assist in reducing soil erosion in critical areas and to provide new areas for the First Nation's cultural activities.

Applewood proudly supports the Semiahmoo House Society. The  Semiahmoo House Society is a non-profit organization located in White Rock. They provide quality services and support to people with disabilities and their families in the community.

In 2011 Applewood helped the Semihhmoo House society raise over $48,000 for their Rec& Leisure program with a donation of a brand new 2011 Kia Soul which was won by Gary & Rita Herman.

Applewood is a leading sponsor for the Guildford Athletic Soccer Club . We are committed to supporting a healthy and active community and Guildford Athletic Club provides us with just that.

As a not for profit organization, the Guildford Athletic Club (GAC) relies on volunteers to allow their children to learn and develop their soccer skills. Beyond the 2010 / 2011 season GAC plans to expand their Club Sponsorship program to further support the development of over 1200 soccer players in the Surrey area. Applewoods sponsorship also helps in the Club's cost for equipment, uniforms, referees, fields and facilities.

Applewood proudly supports COPS FOR CANCER, an organization that is committed to helping children with cancer. Every fall over a hundred law enforcement and emergency services cycle across areas in British Columbia to support children with cancer. Applewood also participates in the Tour de Valley bike event. Visit the Applewood Facebook Page  for more details about the event.

Applewood KIA and its employees proudly support the Surrey Food Bank.  As part of our 2011 Applewood KIA Drive Change initiative, we contributed to the Surrey Food Bank's Tiny Bundles
program which supports new born babies and toddlers.
